Staying Positive Even In Adversity

One of the hardest challenges life throws at us is remaining positive in times of adversity in our lives. It is a test to stay positive in order to find solutions to those things that are making our life hard or a living hell. However, it is by staying focused and positive that we are able to overcome the difficulties in our life that at time may seem impossible to overcome. It is not easy to stay positive under adverse conditions, but it can be done.

The first step in remaining positive through hard times is actually pinpointing what the adverse thing is so it can be eliminated from our lives completely. This will not happen over night. Negative situations take a toll on a person emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally after a while. It can immobilize a person from being productive. What happens are negative or adverse situations become part of our subconscious mindset so our conscious actions react in a state of negative action instead of positive action to change our adversities. The subconscious thoughts tell the conscious mind there is no way out of the adversity and you are to settle in it.

This is how negative mindsets work. They set in and overtake any possibility of finding or fighting for positive answers to your problems. It is suggested that if you are the type who finds it difficult to remain positive under difficult circumstances, that you write your situation down on paper first so you can see it. Once you see it on paper, you can then look for ways to alleviate the adversities you face. Researching solutions is one of the best ways to change negatives into positives. Many times when we are in trouble we think we are the only one in the world with that particular problem. In reality, when you research you find out that others have similar or identical situations to yourself. This, first of all lets you know you are not alone. This can help you find the answers as well as how others are dealing with the same situation as yourself. This, in itself, is a positive step to know that you are not alone in your plight. Negativity thrives on isolation.

Being positive is one of the best attributes a person can have in this life. It keeps one pro-active not to accept the adversity that is occurring in their life at the time. It activates your inner strength to overcome the odds that are stacked against you. Being positive in adversity also allows you to remain in control of yourself and your situation in spite of the negative conditions around it.
