After doing a quick business or personal transaction with
someone, instead of just saying “thank you”, let them know
you appreciate them.
A quick, “I appreciate you” or “I appreciate ya’” works just
fine. It’s that little extra special touch that separates
you from everyone else – even the polite people who say
thank you – and make you memorable in his or her mind.
You become that person they’ll go out of their way to please
during the next transaction. Do it just a couple of times;
note the surprised and delighted expressions on their faces.
It becomes habit-forming.
